buildings, hospitals, educational institutions, retail spaces)
• Comparison between traditional BMS and IBMS
2. Core Components of an IBMS:
• Sensors and actuators (e.g., temperature sensors, pressure sensors, flow
meters, dampers, valves)
• Controllers and communication protocols (e.g., BACnet, Modbus, IP)
• Human-machine interface (HMI) (e.g., touchscreens, workstations, mobile
apps)
• Network infrastructure (e.g., local area networks, wide area networks,
internet)
3. Integrated Building Systems:
• Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems
